A data centre for world leader Equinix
ETDE, authorised agent for a group that includes Brezillon (subsidiary of Bouygues Construction), will be designing and building the electricity (high and low voltage) and HVAC portions for a new data centre in Pantin, Seine-Saint-Denis. Total cost of the project is €55 million with delivery expected in June 2012.
The Pantin data centre will ultimately provide a broad range of hosting services in a total surface area of 11,500 m2. ETDE has began installations in September 2011 once the building completed. It will require 150 employees to equip 5,600 m2 of rooms.
Meeting the standards of the world’s top supplier
“The major challenge will be meeting the extremely high standards of Equinix, which counts the leading computer networks and the biggest names in the World Wide Web among its clients,” explains Pierre Navarre, Technical Director in ETDE’s Engineering and Development Division.
“We will need to execute the project flawlessly and conduct complex performance testing under difficult conditions, a tight deadline and technical specifications above conventional standards.”
25 data centres since 2002
Since 2002, ETDE has been positioning itself in the data centre market with a turnkey solution that includes design, installation and maintenance for electrical and air conditioning equipment. This has led ETDE to equip 25 data centres in France and the United Kingdom.
